My name is Erica, and I am the person behind Lina and Vi (pronounced L-eena and V-eye). Thanks for stopping by to my little handmade shop!
Curious who I am? Here is a little bit about me:
- I started Lina and Vi was in 2013 as a way to produce and sell self-made, handcrafted sewn goods using repurposed burlap. It all started when a trip to the local coffee shop put me in front of a 150 pound burlap coffee sack...and here we are!
- The Lina and Vi name originates from the abbreviated names of my two Italian grandmothers, both of whom represented to me creativity, drive, determination, resourcefulness, hard work, and persistence.
- The collection has evolved over the years to include a variety of burlap zipper pouches, clutches, and cross-body bags, as well as natural, farmhouse style burlap home decor items.
- I used to own an Etsy shop, and I would set up shop at local fairs and boutiques. Now I sew and craft for a hobby.
- I am a metro Detroit native, and I have a couple of degrees from local universities. I work in the tech industry by day.
- I am a new mom to a little girl. You may see some DIY baby projects here from time to time.
